Guess what! Team t-shirts are now on sale.

The t-shirts include the player's last name and team name on the back.
The front has the BAYSL logo on it and from what I hear, they look great! The price is just $10 and orders can be placed through the end of the season.

I will e-mail the order form to the team members. You can return completed order forms to Brad (Sam's dad/my husband), to me, or to the BAYSL clubhouse directly.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

Please make a note that from December 21st to January 4th the BAYSL Office will be CLOSED.  There will be no practice and no Rec Games.  Seasons Greetings & Happy New Year!

NO SUNDAY GAME: 12/13/09

Well Firecrackers, tomorrow is the first big game! 
Please plan to be at the fields by 10:45 AM at the latest so the players can warm up.

Also, the first game of the season that was rescheduled for Sunday was been cancelled.  There will not be a game this Sunday (12/13/09) but it will be rescheduled for a Friday night in the future.

GAME 12/5/09 CANCELLED!

Well Firecrackers...it looks like due to weather our game tomorrow (12/5/09) has been cancelled.

This game will be rescheduled for next Sunday, December 13th, at 3:30 PM.

Snack assignments will be the same.

FIRST GAME!!!

Our game on Saturday is at 12:30! 

Please plan to arrive at 12:00 so that Coach Benz can work on a few items with the players prior to the game.

No Practice Thanksgiving Week

Just a reminder from Coach Benz that we will not be practicing on 11/23 or 11/25!  Enjoy the holiday!

Practice NEWS!!!!

Firecracker practices will be held on Monday and Wednesday from 6:00-7:30 PM at JC Handley.

Our practice field is H2C, which you can see on the field map also.

Please bring your cleats, water, shin guards, size 3 soccer ball and a winning attitude!

BAYSL Volunteer Hours for 2009-2010 U7 Teams

Good news!  At the team parent meeting last night, the U5-U8 coordinator, Donna Graham  said that our group of teams will not be assigned to volunteer duties until February.  Remember that as a participant in BAYSL, all parents are required to pledge at least 2 volunteer hours per player to BAYSL each season. 

You probably signed up for your volunteer roles when you registered your player(s) for the season.  As the team parent, I will be keeping track of volunteer hours fulfillment by parents on our team. 

If for some reason, you can't fulfill your hours, you can buy-out your time at a rate of $25 per player.  Checks for buy-out must be given to the Team Parent or mailed directly to BAYSL and made payable to BAYSL (with the players name on the check) at:

I am always forgetting which field is which at JC Handly, so I am attaching a layout of the practice and game fields for you all to have just in case: BAYSL Fields

Welcome Firecrackers!

By now, most of you should have received a message from Coach Benz letting you know about the upcoming BAYSL season.  If you need more information, keep checking here and I will provide updates about the season.  It looks like we have a great group of players, and I hope everyone will have fun!

Practice starts on Monday, 11/16/09, on the S1C field at the JC Handley complex. 

Practices will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.

It is important to bring: 

1. cleats,
2. shin guards,
3. water, and
4. a size 3 soccer ball to practices.

Remember, our first game is on Saturday, 12/05/09, so we'll have a few practices before games start.
